Final version of RDMRose learning materials now available

The project team have updated the RDMRose learning materials.

The final version is now available for use and reuse @ http://rdmrose.group.shef.ac.uk/

Changes include adding a number of new topic areas and activities, as well as a set of links to related library training initiatives.

Summary findings of survey of UK libraries RDM services

Results of the survey of UK academic libraries organised by RDMRose with Stephen Pinfield, have now been made available.

RDMRose outputs presented to RLUK

RDMRose project outputs and findings were shared with the directors and deputy directors of the Research Library UK group at their members day at the University of Exeter on 22nd March.

RDMRose featured in March CILIP Update

The current (March 2013) issue of CILIP Update includes an article written by University of Sheffield library staff Olliver Allchin, Amy Collins, John Lewis and Clare Scott (with Andrew Cox) about the challenges of Research Data Management - and reflecting on the value of the RDMRose project.

Version one of the RDMRose learning materials now available

The JISC funded project RDMRose, a collaboration between the university libraries of Leeds, Sheffield and York, and the Sheffield iSchool has been developing learning materials about Research Data Management tailored for information professionals as an Open Educational Resource (OER).

The learning materials have been designed for use as self-supported CPD as well as in taught class room sessions.

Version one of the RDMRose learning materials are now available.

You might want to try our self-assessment questionnaire "Are you RDM Ready?" This prompts you to rate your own knowledge and also the priority you give to different RDM related activities. It then directs you to the parts of the learning materials that are most useful to you.

The project welcomes comments and feedback.

Article on RDMRose in Ariadne

The latest issue (70) of Ariadne magazine contains an article on RDMRose: "Upskilling Liaison Librarians for Research Data Management".

RDMRose article in MmIT journal

The November issue of MmIT journal (Volume 34 No 4) contains an article about the project, entitled: "Academic librarians tackle Research Data Management".
